Maria Morales-Gordon is a results focused Front-End Web Designer/Developer with professional graphic design experience.

As a Graphic Artist, I created print ads and travel publications for a national, member-based organization. I was promoted to Graphic Designer and worked with marketing and sales teams to develop specialized publications and print advertising. These projects were focused on increasing revenue and the companies’ overall presence and upstanding reputation in the travel services industry.

Introduction to the Web

My design skills and love for learning has allowed me to easily transition to Web site design. Currently, I am the Lead Front-end Designer/Developer for a multi-million dollar publications company. I have also served as Lead Custom Developer for a national communications corporation. Web design and development offers me another avenue of design that exceeds print design. Businesses are now no longer constrained to an 8 x 10 box or expensive television spots – I am now able to give their customers more information and sales content than has ever been possible!

My skill set of HTML, CSS, PHP and jQuery allows me the ability to build static sites and build and customize CMS sites like WordPress, Joomla and Drupal, so that each of my customers receives a unique design specifically tailored to their business needs. An insurance company has very different needs than an auto repair shop, however, what they have in common is the importance of conveying their products and services to their clients in the most effective way possible. I also have experience with back-end PHP, javascript and SQL databases, especially in support of CMS websites.

As you can see from my website gallery, I love working in the ever-changing web design field and I continue to grow with it!
